Rayman 2: The Great Escape/The Canopy

• You can jump off the spider web and grab the purple Lum from various points along the web, including the very beginning. Climb up as far as you can, jump, and shoot the Lum. Video (#1)
• There are three methods to skip Globox's "Rayman is the greatest" text.
  • Face the wall near the plank leading to the pirate, then jump, shoot, face Globox, and enter first-person mode. If you did it right, your shot will bounce off the wall and hit the switch. This method also skips the pirate fight, making it the fastest of the three methods, but it's harder than the other two. Video (#4)
  • Kill the pirate, shoot the switch, and quickly run down the nearby ramp. This method is slower than the one above. Video
    • If you use this method and are in the wrong spot and/or facing the wrong way when the text tries to activate, the game will freeze. Video
  • Shoot the switch, jump off the platform you're on, helicopter for a little while, and drop into the pit. You'll spawn near the laser door and Globox will be free. This method is the slowest of the three, but it's easy and won't make the game freeze. Video (#5)
• After passing the first laser fence, shoot while running toward the pole to knock it down. You need to start running from far away for Rayman to target the weak point. Video
  • If you look at the pole while your shot hits it, the pole may be more likely to fall down, particularly on the PC version. You still need to be within a certain distance of the pole. Video
• You can skip fighting the pirate on a set of faraway platforms. Jump against the corner between the metal frame and the wall to the right of the laser fence. If you time it right, a shot from the pirate will boost you upward. Shoot to regain control, then hold forward to land on the metal frame. From there, you can jump past the fence. Note that if you do this trick, Globox will not follow you, so you must skip hiding in the bush at the end of the level (see below). Video
  • You can use a cannonball instead of the pirate's shot to get a damage boost, but it is more difficult. Video (#11)
  • If you do fight the pirate, you can run into the lasers to death warp back to Globox. Video (at about 5:03)
• You can skip hiding in the bush at the end of the level. Grab the purple Lum, swing directly toward the door, and jump. If you did it right, you'll make it through the door before it closes. It seems helpful to keep A pressed and hold forward after jumping. Video
• In the last outdoor area, you can bounce shots off of various walls to grab the purple Lum. Video
• After breaking the Teensy's cage, turn around and run back until the cage and Teensy disappear. Go toward the Teensy again and the portal will appear, allowing you to skip the Teensy dance. Video
  • You can do this after skipping hiding in the bush (see above), but if the door closes behind you, you will need to get through it again. Video (#13)
    • You can make the trick easier by manipulating the door. Once the door starts opening, it doesn't start closing until it is all the way open. So, you can let the door close, move away so that it starts to open, then go through it while it is still opening. Video (#14)
