  • You do not need Simian Slam to activate the first switch. Just step on it.
  • If you haven't activated any warps and you roll or kick onto the #1 warp pad at the entrance of the large open area, Squawk's text about warp pads will cancel the cutscene showing Diddy asking for help. Video (#2)
  • DK can use STVW to get his Golden Banana under the cage near the entrance to the large open area. You can get to other areas as well: any of the caves behind the three fences and the area with Chunky's blueprint. Video (#2 and #3)
  • DK can use his kickjump combo to make several jumps:
    • From one of the trees in the first area to the switch.
    • From the ledge with Diddy's cage to the Troff and Scoff portal.
    • From the ledge with Diddy's cage to the top of the tree with vines above it.
    • From the ledge with the cannon to the aforementioned tree. Video (#4)
    • From the aforementioned tree to the rainbow coin. Video (#4)
    • From the Troff and Scoff portal below Diddy's cage to the ledge with the cannon. Video (#4)
    • From the Troff and Scoff portal below Diddy's cage to the nearby vine.
  • Several kongs can climb the slope leading to the rainbow coin.
    • With DK, do a kickjump, slip jump, and aerial attack. Video (#6)
    • With Diddy, do a cartwheel to get up most of the slope, then skid at the end to reach the top. Video
    • With Chunky, run up the slope for a while, then do a skid jump, jump, and aerial attack. Video (#5)
    • With Tiny, use standard slope-climbing methods.
  • Diddy (and possibly other kongs) can get out of bounds by going to the back left corner of Diddy's cage and jumping rapidly. Video (#5)
  • DK can get out of bounds near Diddy's cage as follows. Climb the tree closest to Diddy's cage and face the mound with Diddy's minecart ride. Jump on one of the slippery parts of the tree and let yourself slide off, then jump back up and do a moonkick to get on top of the mound. Face the wall to your right so that Snide's HQ is on your left. Do a kickjump and aerial attack to reach the wall. Let yourself slide off, then jump, do an aerial attack, and move farther left along the wall (see this section). You will go through the wall. From there, you can reach the beehive area or the tunnel leading to Cranky. Video (#10)
    • You can also aim your moonkick above Diddy's cage to get out of bounds. Video (#11)
  • Diddy can skip shooting the switch in the mine area by standing on top of a pile of cole and backflipping to grab a plank near the switch he must pound. Video
  • Diddy doesn't need to Chimpy Charge the switch in the mine area to enter the minecart. Just run to the edge of the gate, jump, and use an aerial attack to get to the other side. Video (#1)
  • Diddy can Chimpy Charge straight through a wall to the left of Funky's store (i.e. to your right as you face the store). He can then walk over to his Golden Banana behind a nearby cage. Video
  • Hunky Chunky can glitch through the shell containing one of Tiny's Golden Bananas and land in the area with Lanky's blueprint. To do so, jump and roll into the front of the shell. It helps to roll after the peak of your jump. Video (#1)
  • Hunky Chunky can also glitch past the wall with Rambi's face on it. Just jump into the ceiling to the side of it. Video (#1)
  • Chunky can get his Golden Banana in a cage without pounding the switch near Cranky. First, get Hunky Chunky into the main area using the trick above. Jump on top of Funky's hut, then jump and roll into the edge above you to go out of bounds. You can then backflip into the cage and walk out. Alternatively, stand below the floor of the cage and do a backflip to grab the Golden Banana while staying out of bounds. Video (#2)
  • Tiny can get her Golden Banana in a cage without pounding the switch near Cranky. Use STVW in the pool of water with the banana fairy above it and then swim to the cage and jump in from behind. You can then walk through the back of the gate. Video (#2)
    • Another way to get this banana is as follows. Go up to the ledge with Snide's HQ and face roughly toward DK's Barrel Blast course. Do a kickjump (Z+B) off the ledge, then Pony Tail Twirl into the wall at your right. You should pass through the wall and fall out of bounds. From there, you can swim to the banana. Video (#1)
  • Tiny can get out of bounds in the beehive area as follows. Pound the first switch and go past the first gate. Then backflip onto the first torch on the left and jump out of bounds. You can then walk to the room with the Golden Banana. Video (#1)
    • Alternatively, once you get on the torch, do a skid jump, another jump, and a Pony Tail Twirl to float over the tunnel. Video (#2)
    • The gate to the room with the Golden Banana is solid from both sides, so you can't leave without exiting the level.
