- A few names are commonly used to refer to different places in this level:
- The crypt is the lowest area. There is fog everywhere. Funky's shop is here.
- The tunnel connects the pool near the area with five warps and the lower W1 pad.
- The dungeon is connected to the tunnel. It has Golden Bananas for Lanky, Diddy, and DK.
- The Library, Ballroom, and Museum have signs outside them.
- There are quite a few places in Creepy Castle where you can jump from a higher area to a lower area:
- From the top of the level to Tiny's blueprint Video (#4)
- From the top of the level to the greenhouse and from there to Lanky's blueprint Video (#2)
- From the Museum to the tunnel or the crypt and from the tunnel to the crypt Video (#3)
- From the Ballroom to the Rocketbarrel near W2 Video (#5)
- By getting very close to the gate, you can shoot the switch in Chunky's area of the big tree without Sniper Sight. Video (#1)
- You can use STVW on several walls in the level's pools to swim through the center of the level or to swim in the air around the level. Video
- You can use the extra speed given by Orangstand Sprint to jump to Lanky's Golden Banana in the crypt without playing the trombone. Video (#11)
- If you stand on the very edge of the first Baboon Balloon pad in Lanky's room in the dungeon, you can clear the gap with one Baboon Balloon.
- DK doesn't need Strong Kong to get through the corridor with the flying books in the Library.
