Route

This is just a quick overview of the route and the any% specific stuff. Details still keep changing and are mostly better gotten from viewing actual runs. More detailed information about specific missions can be found on another page.

Los Santos

A big problem with routing in Los Santos are the missions you can only start at a certain time. Especially OG Loc's missions, that are far away from CJ's house (so you can't save to correct the time).

  • Big Smoke
    • Get a handgun from a Police Officer or Gangmember after the cutscene in the middle of the mission, shouldn't loose any time as long as Ryder keeps moving.
  • Ryder
  • Tagging up the Turf
  • Cleaning Up The Hood
    • Use the gun picked up during Big Smoke to kill the Drugdealers.
  • Drive-Thru
    1. After skipping the cutscene at the food place, line your car up so that Sweet (who is in the backseat behind CJ) is shooting the passenger of the Ballas car
      • Sweet's shooting is somewhat random, so even if you line it up correctly it might not work immediately
    2. Once the passenger is dead, the driver should get out and you can kill him
    3. Drive back
  • Nines And AK's
  • OG Loc
    1. Get OG Loc and drive to Freddy's house
    2. Follow Freddy through the alleys, then drive to the quick shot spot (see mission details)
    3. After killing Freddy, find a car on the road and take OG Loc to the Burgershot
  • Life's a Beach @22-6
    1. Get a car and drive to the beach, find a homie to do the dance skip (see mission details)
    2. Drive the van to the mission end
  • Running Dog
    1. Drive Big Smoke to the marker
    2. Follow the gangmember and shoot him
      • You can go for the quickshot as soon as you see him (maybe until you are half across the first road) or get a bit closer
      • The Pistol might be more accurate to headshot on a distance than the SMG
    3. Get a car to drive to the next mission
      • The cars are usually spooked during/after this mission, so it can be a bit difficult to get one fast
  • Drive-by
  • Sweet's Girl
  • Cesar Vialpando
  • High Stakes Low-Rider
    1. Drive to Cesar's place to where the marker will appear and take the phonecall
      • Be careful not to get a wanted level on the way, which can easily happen when you run someone over around the train station
    2. Drive to the start of the race, don't wait for Cesar
    3. Do the race
      • At the start you may want to wait for half a second before starting to drive so your opponents crash and such and you can pass them easier
    4. At the end of the race (at the pier) there is a Chilidog-Stand, eat something there to replenish health or reset hunger
      • If the Chilidog-Stand isn't open (no NPC there), look away from it to allow him to spawn
    5. Continue to the next mission, maybe looking out for a bike
  • Madd Dogg's Ryhmes
    1. Drive to the foot of the hill near Madd Dogg's mansion and sprint up to the back entrance
      • If you have a bike you can drive up the hill
    2. Enter the mansion and just run through, skipping the tutorials as soon as you can
      • You are forced to only use the knife until you get the rhymebook
      • In the room with the bar stay on the left side (see videos for the path)
    3. Before getting to the ryhmebook, there is armor in a room on the left
    4. Either sneak-kill the enemy there to be safer or just run through
    5. Get the ryhmebook and slide back with the Spraycan, spraying enemies as you pass them
      • The last enemy at the pool can sometimes hurt you quite a bit, so you may want to shoot him
    6. Use the Mountainbike by the exit to get back to the Burgershot, find a car if you fall off
  • Management Issues
    1. Get to the car and steal it, driving it to the marker
    2. Continue between the two cars until you stop at the event, then follow the route to dump the car without being seen
  • House Party (Cutscene)
  • Burning Desire
    • Should start looking out for a Sportsbike around here, it's fast but also necessary for Gray Imports. It can be kept until after Gray Imports.
  • Wrong Side of the Tracks
    1. Jump on the train and kill the guys!
      • You need at least 50 SMG ammo, more is safer (Backup Strat: There is an SMG at the train station behind some walls to the right of the marker)
  • Just Business
    1. Just kill everyone in the building, take the armor if necessary
    2. Kill everyone outside and do the autoscroller
    3. After the mission go north to the carpark and get the NRG on the 2nd floor as well as the grenades on the 3rd floor
      • You can park the NRG below the grenades and jump on it to get the grenades
    4. Drive the NRG to the next mission
  • Doberman
  • Gray Imports
    • Use a sportsbike to drive through the warehouse, if you have enough SMG ammo for Wrong Side of the Tracks, try to run over the target as soon as possible.
  • Home Invasion @12-20
  • House Party @20-6
    1. Kill all enemies using the grenades
  • Catalyst
  • Los Sepulcros @9-17
    • This is a timed mission as well, so it's better to get it out of the way
    1. Recruit gangmembers, but wait until Sweet has closed the door to recruit the second one, or else the game will softlock (the car door will never unlock for CJ)
      • If the game softlocks, you can blow up the car to quickly fail the mission
    2. Drive to the marker, wait for the tutorial to end
    3. Get to the car and use it to run over the mission target while reversing
      • You can throw a grenade over the wall to kill enemies before getting into the car
    4. Kill all remaining Ballas to make Sweet get into the getaway car, which only unlocks then
    5. Drive Sweet back
  • Robbing Uncle Sam
  • Reuniting the Families
    • Get the Spraycan again before the mission, so you can slide through the motel. You can do it anytime after Burning Desire (which replaces the Spraycan with the Fire Extuingisher).
    1. Drive to the motel, enter it, slide through while spraying the enemies
    2. Once you get to Sweet, you have to kill the two enemies in the hallways directly outside to trigger the cutscene
    3. Destroy the helicopter
      • Either don't skip the cutscene that introduces the helicopter and throw a grenade below the helicopter (not skipping the cutscene makes it go lower)
      • ..or skip it and just shoot the helicopter.
    4. Once the heli is destroyed, get close to Sweet until he says "Ok CJ, let's go", then jump off the roof
    5. Do the autoscroller, shooting the police and your own car to get you AK skill to Hitman level (can be used in Black Project later)
  • The Green Sabre
    1. Get the NRG out of the garage for this (if present) and drive to the marker
    2. Get in and out of the car and continue on the NRG to Sweet
    3. Drive into the marker by Sweet (killing enemies before is useless), then kill everyone to finish the mission
      • Killing 3 enemies makes the first Van spawn, 6 the second Van, 9 the drive-by car
      • Killing enemies before driving into the marker just makes them respawn

Badlands

  • Badlands
  • Bustedwarp to Dillimore
  • Tanker Commander
    • If you did the Bustedwarp, you won't have any weapons to kill yourself for the Deathwarp after this mission. While you wait for Catalina to finish talking, you can look out for a cop to run over or if there is none quickly get the gun from the Police Station.
  • Deathwarp to Angel Pine
  • Body Harvest
    • If you did the Deathwarp, you won't have any weapons to kill yourself for the Deaathwarp after this mission, so get a rifle from the farm you steal the Combine Harvester from.
  • Deathwarp to Angel Pine
  • King in Exile (Cutscene)
  • Bustedwarp to Dillimore
  • Small Town Bank
    • Go to Ammunation to buy Rifle-Ammo to be used in Local Liquor Store (Micro-SMG ammo might be useful as backup, and maybe Armor)
  • Local Liquor Store
  • Against all Odds
    • Pick up the Satchel charges in the alley to the right of the entrance of the Betting Shop. Can be used for Are You Going To San Fierro?
  • Wu Zi Mu
  • Farewell My Love...
  • Are You Going To San Fierro?
    • Use the Satchel Charges picked up during Against All Odds to burn the weed.

Badlands Bustedwarp

On the route from Angel Pine to Catalina, which you have to do twice in Badlands, there is a chance for a Bustedwarp. It is possible because you don't have any weapons that you definately want to keep (since you loose all your weapons when being busted).

You drive from Angel Pine to the small street that runs along the highway and get busted there, so you teleport to Dillimore.
