Talk:Main Page
From SDA Knowledge Base
Process
Suggestion - Maybe it would be good to have a page/article in here outlining the whole process from beginning to end of verification, publication, submission, quality control, etc. Just a step by step guide to what is involved. Both from the runner's perspective as well as verifiers & publishers.
I wouldn't mind creating such an article myself, if someone on the team would be kind enough to tell me exactly what goes on behind the curtains. ;) Kharay1977 13:13, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- You might find some info on the Rules, FAQ and Submit pages, and the whole knowledge base section of the wiki is basically about quality control. That would probably give you a good start. — najzere ( talk ) 15:02, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- there are some pretty good descriptions on the forum if you look at me and grenola's posts in topics like "wtf why aren't you updating faster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". like the most recent one for example. definitely enough to get started and then i can edit whatever you come up with for accuracy for the stages that i perform. nate 15:52, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- Cool. I'll start collecting information on it then and conceptualizing a format for such an article. --Kharay1977 16:48, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
sda run meta
Minor suggestion: how about making a second {sda run}, one that reads something along the lines of: "This game does not have a run yet on SDA, be the first to submit one! Click here to find out how." --Kharay1977 16:09, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
External links
So, a thing I've noticed is the space that comes after external links, where the icon that's usually seen on wikis to denote external links is supposed to go. Since the icon has been removed but the space remains, this looks kind of iffy. It's an easy fix and I've done it myself before - unless the monobook css file has significantly changed, in main.css, around line 500, there's a segment that reads:
#bodyContent a.external,
#bodyContent a.external[href ^="gopher://"] {
- background: url(external.png) center right no-repeat;
- padding: 0 13px;
To make the space go away the two last lines should be changed to:
- background: none;
- padding: 0; (the css I have on my wiki reads padding-right - but I suspect that's what it was in the original in the older css I based it on)
