Talk:Super Mario Sunshine
From SDA Knowledge Base
There are a lot of tricks for this game, but the information is scattered across forum posts and YouTube accounts, so I thought it would be a good idea to make pages for it here. I gave each level its own page and created a table of contents that shows up on every page. As you can see, there isn't much content yet, so feel free to add anything even remotely useful for speed runs. General speed tricks should go on the main page (i.e. the page whose talk page you are reading) and level-specific tricks should go on the relevant level pages. The level pages can contain information relating to the level as a whole (things that would be useful for several shines) and information for specific shines. This format isn't set in stone, so do what you find works best (although I would like to let each level to have its own page instead of just having one gigantic page). When you add something, please follow these guidelines:
- Provide textual descriptions; don't just link to videos. That way, if the video if removed, people can still figure out what it showed.
- On the other hand, in addition to textual descriptions, you should try to post a video of something if you can find one; a picture is worth a thousand words. This might mean doing some searching on YouTube. If you can't find anything, though, don't let that stop you from editing.
- If you do link to a video and the video contains more than just the clip of interest, note where said clip begins. For example, if you link to a video with a bunch of lame garbage before the actual trick starts (often the case with YouTube videos from unknown players), just say something like "trick starts at 3:43."
If you make a new page, add {{contents}} at the top so that the table of contents will be displayed. You will also need to edit the table of contents page to link to your new page (just follow the formatting for the other items in the table of contents). Happy editing. Routes are wanted:
- 50 Shine Run (All Shadow Mario levels)
- 120 Shine Run (100%)

- 49 Shines not 50. You can skip one in Bianco Hills. MarioGalaxy2433g5 22:35, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
What I meant by 50 shines is that the 50th shine is the final one: The final boss. The last boss gives you a shine, you know. The Super Mario Galaxy Fan!!! 9:16, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
