Hudson's adventure Island/10 moving platforms

This page is dedicated to a break-down of the method for passing the 10 platforms in section 3 of 3-1, 5-3 and 8-3 on skateboard.
Platforms 1-5
1. Brake shortly before jumping to the first platform to make the first jump easier. The longer you brake, the easier the jump gets and the more time is lost. (no brake at all = frame-perfect jump to the first platform)
2. Continue jumping at the edge of each platform (moderately precise, but not particularly difficult) until you land on platform #6. If it's hard to keep track of which platform you are on, the following might help. When you jump over a banana, you're jumping from the fourth to the fifth platform and you need to start preparing for a change of inputs after jumping one more time.
(In 5-3 and 8-3, shoot a fireball right before landing on the second platform.)
(In 8-3, shoot a fireball at the same time as you jump from platform #3.)
Platform 6
As soon as you land on platform #6 (or even slightly before), start braking. When the platform starts to move right, jump while continuing to brake (if you jump too early or too late, you'll fall off). As soon as you land, jump to platform #7.
(In 8-3, shoot a fireball at the bat right after landing.)
Platform 7
Start braking before landing on platform #7 to make sure you land on the left side. A little after the platform has started moving to the right, jump while braking. Jump over to platform #8 as soon as you land.
(In 5-3 and 8-3, a little before landing from the jump on the platform, shoot the bat that will be swooping down.)
(Alt strat in 3-1: don't jump on the platform. It's ~15 frames faster, but also has a slightly smaller time window)
Platform 8
As soon as you land on platform #8, start braking. A little after having passed beneath the carrot, jump while continuing to brake. When you land again, the platform should be right about returning to the left. The longer you can hold off jumping to platform #9, the better.
Platform 9
Try to land on the far left side of platform #9 and brake. Continue braking until the platform changes direction and starts moving to the right. Jump while continuing to brake. This jump is probably the hardest to learn in the whole sequence. Once you have pinned down the muscle memory, it's going to be quite consistent though. Anyways, as soon as you land again on platform #9, jump over to platform #10 (if your inputs weren't tight enough, you'll jump too far and fall down the pit).
(Alt strat in all three levels: Don't jump. It saves ~15 frames, but has a smaller window of success.)
Platform 10
Try to land on the far left of platform #10 with a speed of 73 (press right on the D-pad, but without holding down B). As soon as you land, press B to accelerate to 82 and then jump again. If done correctly, you'll jump over the last fruit (a banana) and land on the other side of the pit. Avoiding the fruit can be a bit tricky though since you need to jump early (but not too early!) from the last platform.
