Coin Route
You require 501000 coins to unlock all the worlds in this game. This is much more than you would get simply playing through levels without paying them any attention, so you have to give some thought to which coins to pick up. An analysis of every major coin source in the game and its cost to collect is available here.
In short, the map order is 1-2-3-5-4.
Sweet Stuff
There are a number of rooms in the game where you have to be prepared to do a shake immediately upon entering. The first of these is the room after the indoor one with the floating blue bandineros.
