Playstation Portable (PSP)

Install Custom Firmware which enables digitally downloaded games from any region to be played on a single PSP without having to format/change PSN account. This is vital for PSP GO because the official method restricts the user to 1 region. PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO SPEEDRUN One major rule for consistency after installing custom firmware is to NOT change the load time speeds which is caused by changing the CPU CLOCK and check if the game was officially released for the PSN store. For example, Mega Man Powered Up for both USA and Europe running on a memory stick/system memory (GO) is not valid because it was never officially released as a digital download but for the Japanese release, it is ok because it was made available to purchase through the Japanese PlayStation Store. This is to prevent pirates to have a full advantage that is considered to be impossible to get legally. This has happened to someone who did a speedrun of (USA) Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep through memory stick which (as of 2018) is not possible to get from the Official Playstation Store |

PSN EU owners can get PS1 games from the store but they run at 50hz, if you set an American PSN account, you can access the US PSN store and download NTSC 60hz PS1 games.
