The Engines category is for games sharing a similar engine (e.g. Unreal, Infinity, etc.).
If you're confused about what this means, Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale fall into this category because they both share the same engine: the Infinity Engine. Despite being different games, they both use the same engine, and therefore many similar tricks can be exploited. However, Mario games do not fall into this category. Even though games such as SMB 1–3 are all in the same series and for the NES, the engine is different in each game, and thus tricks in one game cannot be applied to another.
