Revision as of 03:48, 28 September 2014

During this run, we won't be skipping any of the quests in the main storyline, as this apperas to be impossible. What is left, if to do these quests as fast as possible and saving time where ever possible. The most important used are the statue glitch, item duplication and long distance pyramid throws.

In the description, you'll find time designations I use to know, how far I have to scroll to the for of war. As it's unlikely that you count the same way I do, you'll need to come up with your own timings.

If you are more comfortable with german, my the original version can be found here.

Maps

The maps I'll be referencing, are maps I created to route the game. They can be found here.

How to read:

The lines represent the path I take, squares are pyramids and circles are normal teleporters. Follow one line (start with black on most maps), until you reach the end with a square or circle of another color. Continue the path from the object with the same shape and color. Whether you have to drop-use or use the pyramids can be taken from the route explanation. Reading the explanation helps a lot with understanding the maps, so you should read it. I know they're quite messy, but if you still have problems understanding, feel free to ask me.

Part I: Aleroth, Rivertown, Stormfist Castle

This part consists of leaving the town Aleroth, going to Rivertown to buy a statue and potions and get an invitation to enter Stormfist Castle

Aleroth: Map 1

The supplies we get in Jorams house are gold and potions.

Take the gold can be found in the chest you woke up next to. Leave the basment and purchase the potions from Joram: You need red, blue and yellow. Multiply both the gold and the potions in the trade window.

You can duplicate the yellow potion in the bookshelf

Leave the house and go to Mardaneus' house. After the cutscene, enter the house through the well to the East. Then go to the village entrance and talk to Serk. To get the Teleportpyramids, turn all the Dragon statues north.

Place and use a teleport pyramid, pick up the other one and teleport back. If you are to slow, you'll take a lot of damage from the skeletons in the room.

Go back to Lanilors house and talk to him.

At the gate: Throw pyramid 8 to the east. It should land just north of Nericon's Garden.

Leave town and head south until a cutscene starts. One it has ended, use the teleporter and head to Rivertown.

Rivertown

Go to store Ars Magicana and buy a statue (it doesn't matter whitch one). Head to the potions shop and buy shadowpotions (multiply them as well). These potions are your best friend. Use them whenever you come near mobs, as later in the game, one or two hits will kill you.

The Barracks

Go south to the barracks and talk to General Alix.

Break The Siege

Go to Captain Mitox located south of General Alix. Here you have to do two quests to receive the invitation to Stormfist Castle.

Quests: Ravage the Orc supply train Poison the Well

Note:

Place teleporter in front of the headquarters. Once at the supply train, place the other one. Then teleport back, accept the new quest and teleport right back again. Pick up the teleporter. After you have poisoned the well, teleport back again and pick up the second teleporter.

Talk to Captain Mitox and then visit General Alix to receive the invitation.

Stormfist Castle

One we enter the castle, two cutscenes will start. In the first one, an imp is going to take away our pyramides. If we don't have them on us, he won't take them, but he'll stop us, as soon as we try to use them again.

After the cutscenes are done, we'll have to do a few tasks for Janus.

1. Find the White Cat:

Leave Janus' room, follow the hallway south.

2. Deliver a Love Letter to Lela:

The room from Lela's go her hand over the letter.

3. Flowers for Lela:

Pick a flower near the gate and bring the it to Lela.

4. Find the Teddy Bear:

In the corner of the corridor, next to Janus' room.

5. The Merchant's Meeting:

An important meeting in the throne room, which is interrupted by orcs. We are then thrown out of the castle, as we failed to defend Janus

Part II: Iona's Dungeon, The Graveyard

Iona's Dungeon: Map 2

Head south until we are approached by Iona. She will teleport us away, take all our stuff and throw us into a cell. Try to open the door and wait for the cat to bring the key. Leave the cell and take the stairs to the west of our cell.

Iona's Dungeon First Floor

Get key from the chest in the far east of this level and use it to open the cell nearby. You'll find you stuff int the chest. Go all the way to the exit in the west of Dunegons. (a map is provided)

The Graveyard: Map 3

The gate is located southeast of the grave. You have to wait untill Iona appears for it to be unlocked.

Part III: River Town, The Sewers, Treasure

Rivertown

Next, go to Rivertown, which is located in the southeast. Enter the town through the alley between the second and third building at the northern edge of the town. You will then be approached by somebody who will also sell scorpion traps.

Enter the grate to the sewer on the marketplace.

The Sewers: Map 4

Find you way through this map to the enterance to the Stormfist Treasury. (a map is provided)

Stormfist Castle's Treasure Room

You have to put all points you have towards constitution. If you don't do that, the traps ahead will kill you.

Exit the room through the southern door, then head the west and find Zandalor. (keep to the upper site) After the dialogue, move all the way to the east (keep to the right) and then through the "Door" into the treasury. In case you've missed the password in the dialoge, it's answer nr. 7. Go to the center pf the room until a dialogbox appears, then head back to Zandalor.

Return To the Dwarven Bread Inn

Wait for the cutscene to pass. While Zandalor is approaching the corpse, put one point towards Meteoritestrike and multiply the scorpion traps. Run to the corpse, so that a dialogue with Zandalor starts.

The Council of Seven

After the dialogue has ended, kill two monster using Meteoritestrike to gain a level. We need this to be able to put one point towards Deadly Gift.

Using scorpion traps makes all the upcoming bossfights very easy. Note that you can stay invisible while sanding next to the boss and spawning scorpions.

After you have fought the Succubus, we receive our pyramids from ZixZax, who can be found in the room west of us. Place the orbs in the statues.

Part IV: Gathering the Council

Human And Ork: Map 5

Start by teleporting to Aleroth and leave one pyramid near the teleporter.

Enter the village, get the key and then rescue Mardaneus. You don't have to fight Demona, you can just get invisible and just walk past her. She can however kill you, while you take the key in the house.

Talk to Joram in the Blue Boar Inn about Goemoe. After this, go to the bottom left corner, where you can find orcish prisions. Free the orc from it and use your pyramid to go back to the Council of the Seven. You have to look at the the lizard statue to progress.

Lizard And Imp: Map 6

Go Verdistis.

Enter the inn on the right side of the road and do the Imp quest. Avoind becoming involved into the war between bees and wasps. To do so, use the following dialogeoptions, when you talk to the king of wasps: 9x 1; 1x 2. Move to the top of the map, where the Queen of bees will give you a key. Use it for the house north of you and talk to the imp. You can leave this place by using the stone the imp gave you.

Go back to the main road and head northeast in order to save Goemoe. Enter the basement of the house. There you will be frozen and rescued afterwards. To save Goemoe, pick up the key in the upper left corner of the room and the Polymorph Staff in the room south of you.

Head back to the Council and view the dwarven statue.

Dwarf And Elf: Map 5 (start with pink) and Map 6-10

Collect teleport pyramid and teleport to Ars Magicana. Walk south along the eastern edge of the city towards the dwarven village. One you arrive a cutscene will start, after which you can walk east to talk to Eolus at the altar. Continue east into the house ant talk to Gregor and pick up the scroll in the upper room.

Head to Dark Forest. (see map for possible path)

Visit the village of elves (keep south inside the village to avoid a cutscene) and find Bronthion. Drop a pyramid and leave the village to the south. Go to the camp of orcs and enter the cave and enter the basement to fight Josephina. Collect the artifacts (two are on the floor and one is dropped by Josephina) abd then teleport back to Bronthion. Collect the other pyramid.

Enter the Dwarven Halls and go to the teleporter near the entrance to the throne room. Drop a pyramid next to it. Talk to King Kelp and retreive the Stone Axe from the mines (maps are provided)

The fight with Moriendor can be skipped by immediately using the lever. Bag the Stone Axe and teleport back. Speak with the king. He'll give you the permission to take Eolus to the Council. Use the teleporter to head to the dwarven village. There you have to talk to Eolus in the house on the southern edge of the village.

Head back to the Council of Seven and ring the bell.

Part V: The Wastelands

The Way to the Dungeon: Map 11

After speaking with the Orcs (and assuring them that you're not a dragon) head east, then southwest until you find Zandalor.

After the cutscene has ended head south. At the southern edge of the map, walk to the east, until a dialog box appears. Put one point towards Spirit Form and use it to cross the swamp. After you crossed the swamp, end the transformation and activate the statue glitch (you can also throw the pyramid all the way there).

Enter the dungeon.

The Five Forts: Map 12-17
